6 Habits of Highly Intentional People
Being intentional with the way you live means that you are consciously living in every moment with focused determination in the now.
Intentions direct us to the path we should go. It gives us a strong foundation of WHY. Always ask yourself the reason behind every task, anchor your mindset to it and visualise the feeling of accomplishment. Let us walk you through on how you can start living intentionally.
The Habits
Planning the day Before
Too many decisions is what makes a bad day. It saps out all your energy and motivation early in the morning. To have a productive & intentional day dump everything that fills your mind and schedule them accordingly the night before.
Start the day with a goal in mind
Nothing is more motivating than seeing your goals vividly in your mind. Look forward for that moment when you accomplish all the hurdles of the day.
Set Limits
Aside from giving every task a specific time-frame or deadline – an intentional person also sets limits on spending expenses. Have a mindset of buying only things that are essential and relevant for 3 months. Never go out without a list of everything you have to buy and make sure that you already deducted your savings before even spending.
Choosing Reason over Feelings
You’ll never get things done if you always depend on your current emotions.
“I feel lazy”
“I feel anxious”
“I feel sad”
Emotions can direct us inside the dungeon of deception and hopelessness. You can miss the opportunity to win if you let your emotions decide. Don’t let it stir you – instead be rooted with reason. Let it anchor your focus, joy, and actions.
Self-care as a Practice
It is more than just a routine, it is an intentional way of life. Many think that self-care should only be done when de-stressing, lest they know its importance in our daily life. You have to intentionally fill yourself with nourishment.
“Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel.” -Eleanor Brown
Remember, always put your mind in the now & anchor your hearts to your goals.
“Live less out of habit and more out of intent.”
